Baltimore staff named 2011 Guest Logistic Staff by Carnival

08/13/2012
Intercruises employees at the Port of Baltimore, Maryland, were presented with the 2011 Guest Logistics Staff of the Year award from Carnival Cruise Lines on May 23rd, 2012. The award is presented annually to industry members who have excelled in the performance of their services at a cruise terminal.

The deciding factors in winning the prize are quality of service and guest experience. "At Carnival, the fun begins from the moment our guests arrive at the cruise terminal and our embarkation staff at the Port of Baltimore do a fantastic job at setting the tone for the remainder of the voyage, creating a welcoming atmosphere and demonstrating an exceptional level of service," said Milly Martin, Carnival's Senior Director of Guest Logistics.

Baltimore handles the fifth-largest amount of cruise passengers on the East Coast, after Carnival signed a five-year extension to continue sailing from Maryland to the Bahamas and Caribbean. James J. White, Maryland Port Administration Executive Director, congratulated Cindi Schuman, Intercruises Operations Manager in Baltimore, for maintaining the standards of Carnival. “A lot of people work very hard to enhance the overall cruising experience and make sure our cruise terminal is a safe and easily accessible facility.” Said James.
